Claudia Schiffer: Accessories are key

Claudia Schiffer feels best when she's wearing her favourite jewellery.

The German model always looks immaculate at events, favouring a chic and polished look. And while it might look like it comes naturally to her, the 44-year-old does have some lucky charms she turns to.

"Generally, I'm of the belief that confidence comes from within and that you can strengthen this with personal style," she explained to the German edition of Cosmopolitan magazine.

"I love wearing all my different rings, bracelets and necklaces - every one of them carries significant meaning.

"I always decide which jewellery I'll wear spontaneously. Most of my pieces are from Solange Azagury-Partridge, Missoma and Monica Vinader. When it comes to handbags, I favour Asprey, Mulberry, Dolce & Gabbana - especially in burnt red - or even a no-name vintage bag."

The blonde beauty juggles her high-flying career with being a mother to the three children she has with her husband Matthew Vaughn - Caspar, Clementine and Cosima. It means she has to wear outfits that will work in both areas of her life.

"I like wearing relaxed, chic looks that work for the school run and for business meetings - maybe an Isabel Marant blazer with jeans and heeled boots or a cashmere sweater-dress with tights and high heels," she revealed.

"I like sturdy heels, like those on Acne boots. Stilettos are strictly for evening events."

Mastering the working-mum attitude, Claudia always tries to travel with her kids. However, she added that she gets very homesick when her family can't come along.
