Cindy Crawford shares 'special' Vogue cover with daughter

Cindy Crawford describes sharing the cover of Vogue Paris with her daughter a "special moment".

The supermodel and her teenage daughter Kaia Gerber are pictured together on the April edition of the high fashion magazine.

"Such a special moment sharing a cover with my daughter - April issue of @VogueParis!" Cindy writes on Instagram.

While 14-year-old Kaia was just as excited to make her cover debut, in a photo shot by famed fashion photographer Mario Testino.

"what is life?!!," Kaia adds. "i honestly can't breathe right now. a million thank you's to @vogueparis & (photographer) @mariotestino!!"

The pretty teenager signed a modelling contract with IMG Models last year (15), and she has appeared in editorials for Vogue and Teen Vogue. She also featured in a string of designer campaigns for the likes of Alexander Wang.

Kaia and Cindy also graced the pages of Vogue last year (15) as part of a family piece and the teenager has also posed alongside her brother Presley.

As the teen's career is taking off, 50-year-old Cindy, who has been modelling since the 1980s, recently hinted she was ready to retire.

"I'm sure I'll have my picture taken for 10 more years, but not as a model anymore - and that's OK," she told United Airlines magazine Hemispheres. "I've done it. I've worked with all these incredible photographers. What else do I need to do? I can't keep reinventing myself. I shouldn't have to keep proving myself. I don't want to."

However, she subsequently clarified her comments, insisting she constantly jokes with her family about retiring.

"Every year, I tell my kids I'm retiring," she wrote on Instagram. "It's a running joke in our family. And yet every year, opportunities pop up that really excite me. While it's true that I'm eager to shift my focus a bit to concentrate on my businesses, friends and family, I'm not making any final statements. I have loved being part of the fashion industry for the past 30 years and if that time has taught me anything, it's this: never say never."
