Christian Siriano's dream white wedding

Christian Siriano's dream white wedding

Christian Siriano is thrilled he and partner Brad Walsh pulled off their black and white themed wedding "without a hitch".

The fashion designer married his longtime musician beau in a ceremony held at their charming summer home in Danbury, Connecticut on Saturday (09Jul16). As well as being surrounded by family and friends, many of the couples' celebrity friends attended, with guests including America's Next Top Model regular Jay Manuel, Alicia Silverstone, Christina Hendricks, Kelly Osbourne, Anna Chlumsky and Orange Is the New Black star Danielle Brooks. But the event was all about the style savvy grooms, who turned to designer David Hart for their custom made black fitted suits and matching shirts.

"David does menswear so well and he is a friend, so we set up an appointment for custom suits," the newlyweds told

Their all-black ceremony attire was a purposeful decision, as they asked their wedding party and entire guest list to come dressed in white. And of course, the gowns were designed by Siriano, the Project Runway alumni turned couturier to the stars.

"Since there was no bride, we wanted our best friends to wear white gowns, all from Christian Siriano, of course, as they stood by our sides during the ceremony," shared Siriano, who recently launched his first bridal collection with Kleinfeld. "Then it became a fun idea for the whole event to be a white wedding."

The happy couple added that the ceremony went smoothly and they were happy they selected the intimate setting for the event. But they had been concerned about the possibility of heavy rain, so set up four tents in the event the weather turned for the worst. Thankfully, the sun shined on them for their special day.

"It went off without a hitch," the couple explained, "We wanted to have the wedding at our vacation house in Connecticut because it's got plenty of serene outdoor space and it's our favourite sanctuary away from the noise of the city."
