Christian Louboutin launches photo app
Christian Louboutin is launching a photo-filter app.
The king of red-soled shoes will today unveil his Louboutinize, an app that can turn snaps into the rouge colour he's most famous for, reports WWD.
It will also allow users to imagine the world through the crystal bottle of the brand's nail varnish, which launched last year.
Other quirky filters include trying on a famous person's body, including Dita Von Teese's and five other fantasy limbs.
Photos can instantly be shared on social media sites. The footwear label is also planning to list the most creative submissions weekly. New filters are planned to be added monthly or bimonthly.
This is the latest idea to become a reality for Christian, who has recently poured his efforts into a lipstick range and a leather goods offering.
"I take time to think. I basically keep my eyes and my ears open and when it fully makes sense, I just do it," Christian recently told WWD.
“For me, it’s important to start things and see how it operates, and then I feel completely ready to go to another level. With the bags, there are things in common and there are things that have nothing to do with the shoes. These two twins definitely need to have their own personalities.”
The lipstick range will launch later this year, with the Rouge Christian Louboutin Lip Color reflecting his red soles. 37 other shades will make up the collection.
