Chloé: Sport meets luxe at PFW
Chloé mixed sports chic with bohemian looks for Spring/Summer16.
The French fashion house showed its latest collection as part of Paris Fashion Week on Thursday morning (1Oct15).
In keeping with the industry’s obsession with sports luxe, creative director Clare Waight Keller paired leisurewear with more elegant pieces. One model wore a burgundy and dark blue zip sweater with a flowing, floral-print maxi skirt.
Another look saw a navy blue maxi skirt paired with a grey vest with burgundy trim.
But legs were also put on display on the runway, courtesy of a denim one-shoulder top with matching miniskirt. A bohemian-print blue-and-white dress featured bell sleeves, a red panel at the chest and lace detail at the waist.
A similar pattern also appeared on an oversized jacket with zip and a floaty maxi dress accessorised with a long necklace and sandals.
Lace trims also hit the runway in the form of delicately embroidered vests, nightie-style dresses and off-the-shoulder gypsy tops.
More casual were Chloé’s denim offerings, including frayed shorts, an off-the-shoulder maxi and a low-cut mini dress.
Extremely fragile white offerings took the front row’s breath away, with lacy top and floating maxi skirt particularly beautiful. A gorgeous white maxi dress with cut-out just below the chest had gentle rainbow colours running along the seams, adding just a touch of fun.
A chiffon maxi with various muted colours running in lines down the length of it also stood out, as did burgundy dungarees.
It’s a big day at Paris Fashion Week, with Carven, Paco Rabanne, Balmain and Rick Owens among those left to show.
Friday (2Oct15) will feature the likes of Loewe, Christian Dior and Isabel Marant.
