Carven appoints two creative directors
Carven has appointed a new creative director duo.
Guillaume Henry announced last year he was leaving the brand, following almost six years at the helm.
Now designer duo Alexis Martial and Adrien Cailladaud are taking over, with Carven CEO Henri Sebaoun making the announcement today.
“We warmly welcome Alexis and Adrien to Carven as we continue to define a Parisian and fresh elegance for the woman of today. We look forward to the overall creative vision they will bring to the growing world of Carven,” he told WWD.
The pair met at the Parisian Atelier Chardon Savard fashion school and worked together at Givenchy.
Paris Fashion Week will mark the first time they show for Carven, offering up their Autumn/Winter 15 collection on Thursday March 5.
Meanwhile Guillaume will also be busy, showing his first designs as the creative director of Nina Ricci in Paris on March 7.
"I was very happy to work with Guillaume for practically six years," Henri announced after it emerged Guillaume was leaving Carven. "We accomplished great things together and today, one chapter is closing and a new adventure is beginning for Carven. I hope that, for his part, he will know as much joy as he has known by my side."
The news he would be joining Nina Ricci was confirmed in October. He replaces Peter Copping, who now heads up Oscar de la Renta.
