Candice Swanepoel reveals PFW skincare secrets

Candice Swanepoel has to step up her moisturising routine during Paris Fashion Week.

The 27-year-old beauty's flawless complexion and lithe physique makes her a favourite among designers. Candice's latest job saw her walking the runway for Givenchy on Sunday (06Mar16). However, as she spends the majority of her time in her hometown of Los Angeles, Candice finds that the weather conditions in the French capital take their toll on her skin.

“Paris is always a little bit drier so I use a lot more moisturiser here," Candice said during a chat with Vogue.com backstage at the Givenchy presentation.

Candice's slim frame makes her the perfect clothes horse for the season's hottest designs. When it comes to maintaining her supermodel physique, the South-African born star isn't keen on sticking to a liquid diet.

"I’m not much of a juicer. It’s too acidic. I just try to keep a balanced diet - although a big breakfast always helps!” she laughed.

She also uses yoga to keep up her healthy body and healthy mind, adding: "I’m really into it right now."

The blonde beauty reunited with her friend, designer Riccardo Tisci, as she showcased Givenchy's Fall 2016 collection on the runway. Her life is full of modelling jobs and shoots, but a Givenchy runway is something Candice always looks forward to.

“It’s always a fun show, really dramatic, and totally different from what I do," she said.

Candice hit headlines last September (15) during the Givenchy presentation at New York Fashion Week, when a pair of towering, spiked heels proved her nemesis, and she took a tumble in the middle of the catwalk. She dealt with it with her usual level of humour, posting a picture on her Instagram.com page with the caption: "Fall from grace."

This year, Candice was determined "not to think about it", and hoped she could avoid a similar fate in the 2016 show.

“Fortunately, the runway seems a lot more friendly this time around - and the shoes do, too!” she said.
