Candice Swanepoel: 'Coconut and avocado oils are everything'

Candice Swanepoel’s favourite beauty product is coconut oil.

The 27-year-old Victoria's Secret model is known for her lustrous locks and flawless complexion. And when it comes to maintaining her appearance, Candice is all about sticking to natural products.

“I use coconut oil to take off my make-up,” Candice told Britain’s Elle magazine. “And I moisturise with Biotherm Aquasource Deep Serum. I also love Bio Oil, and Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Body Lotion.”

Getting primped and preened for her catwalk shows and magazine shoots may sound glamourous, but it takes a lot out of her. So Candice loves nothing more than slathering avocado oil-based products on her hair when she has a rare day off.

“My hair gets really dry when I’m on set from the amount of styling it goes through, so I use products that contain avocado oil to give it back some moisture,” she said.

Like many models, Candice also likes keeping things simple when it comes to hair and make-up on her down days.

“I keep my day look simple with a light foundation, such as Max Factor Miracle Match Foundation, some mascara and a lip tint,” she explained. “My skin is quite oily so I keep Max Factor Facefinity Compact and blotting papers in my bag to keep it in check.”

As the face of Max Factor, it’s no surprise the brand’s products are top of her list, but the stunning blonde credits one mascara with helping improve the condition of her lashes.

“I recently shot the Max Factor campaign with Pat McGrath and fell in love with its Velvet Volume False Lash Effect Mascara,” she added. “It makes my lashes feel soft and smooth.”
