Candice Huffine: More is more

Candice Huffine always worries she's "underdressed".

The curvaceous model has been working in the industry for some time, even bagging a spot in this year's Pirelli calendar, which means she's always invited to the hottest events.

While she can't think of a specific moment where she had a fashion faux pas, the 30-year-old admits she frets before a red-carpet moment.

"I always worry I'll look underdressed!" she admitted to German magazine Jolie. "That's why my motto is: more is more. I'd much rather look a bit over-the-top. Better safe than sorry!"

The fashion star can be seen in the Violeta by Mango campaign, which celebrates a line specifically for curvier figures. Candice's personal favourite are the dungarees, as she feels very comfortable in them.

She also shared her tips for women who have a similar body shape.

"For a long time we were constantly being told the things we can't wear," she explained. "Thank God that's not the case anymore. Show your curves! I like a tailored blazer, which really complements a womanly shape.

"You have to find a part of your body you really like and then emphasise that. For me it's my legs, so I like wearing short skirts with more covered tops."

Candice is confident more designers will soon jump on the bandwagon and start making plus-size collections. In general, she's optimistic about the move away from relying solely on very slim models.

"I've been in the industry for 15 years now. There was always some interest but it's grown considerably in the past four or five years," she revealed. "And I don't think it's a passing fad. It's just that it's become normal to represent curvy women in the fashion world. I'm interested to see what will happen next. One thing's for sure: there are exciting things to come."
