Caitlyn Jenner's top secret Vanity Fair shoot
Caitlyn Jenner's Vanity Fair stylist Jessica Diehl has admitted her make-over for her cover shoot was such a big secret she had to lie and tell her office they were styling Barbra Streisand.
The publication's long-time makeup expert was tasked with helping prepare Caitlyn - formerly known as Bruce Jenner - for her "coming out" magazine cover and she was also told not to tell anyone about it, not even her own team and the entire fashion department at VF.
Jessica told website Vanity Fair Hollywood: "My poor office thought we were doing Barbra Streisand. I just couldn't think of anyone tall. And I don't even know if Barbra Streisand is tall, but in my mind, she was tall. And so that just seemed right ... We talked to no one. Literally, the people here at Vanity Fair did not know. The entire fashion department did not know."
Meanwhile, the stylist opened up about meeting the Caitlyn, 65, and how they discussed and found inspiration for her look.
She said: "I went to her house and stayed there for a couple of hours maybe, and just spent the time talking through things and bringing up lots of pictures and inspiration images. She has certain ideas about what she feels great in. But those ideas are still forming and taking shape. There will be some experimentation and trying things. Welcome to the world of women's fashion! It's not always smooth sailing, but I think she has a pretty good idea of what makes her feel good, and those are classic silhouettes."
Jessica went on to compliment Caitlyn's model daughter, Kendall Jenner, for her "fantastic physique".
She added: " In fact, just like Jenner's model daughter Kendall Jenner, she has a fantastic physique ...S he's slim, and her proportions are very easy to dress."
