Bridget Malcolm: Victoria's Secret castings are fun!
Model Bridget Malcolm tried to make the Victoria's Secret casting agents laugh during her audition.
The Australian beauty had auditioned for the lingerie brand in the past and felt extremely nervous, but this year, she tried to channel her nerves and have fun as she strutted her stuff for the team.
"I remember my first year casting for the VS show, I was shaking and could barely get a word out," she confessed to Vogue Australia. "However this year it was very different – I found it enjoyable! The casting team want you to do well and have fun with it, and I think many girls forget that in their nerves. So I went in there with the intention to enjoy myself and make them laugh, and I think I succeeded. I was still very nervous obviously, but this time it was manageable."
Her decision paid off and Bridget was selected to walk in the prestigious show, which will take place on Tuesday 10 November (15) in New York City. The model received the news while in a van with her fiancé and his band travelling between Utah and Colorado in the United States and Bridget was so overwhelmed she was glad to have her beau by her side.
"The cell phone service kept dropping out between my manager and I; but she managed to get the news across," she added. "I was shaking and so beyond happy. I am so glad Nathaniel was there with me. He had seen the hard work I had put in for the past months, so to see me so beyond happy was amazing. Still now, nearly a week on, I can't believe it. I get little shivers every time I imagine walking the show."
Bridget will be joining 43 other models on the runway for the annual extravaganza, with big names including Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner set to walk as well as the company's renowned Angels Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Behati Prinsloo and Candice Swanepoel.
