Bridget Malcolm ramping up training for Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

Victoria’s Secret model Bridget Malcolm doesn’t find it difficult to workout.

The Australian model is set to walk during the American lingerie giant’s annual catwalk presentation for the second year in a row next month (Dec16). Like the other stars of the show, Bridget is putting all her energy into exercise ahead of the big event, which is being held in Paris, and welcomes the challenge rather than resenting it.

“Year round I make sure I do a workout pretty consistently. I exercise five days a week, and then I eat super clean – veggies, fruits, nuts, seeds. I drink a lot of water,” she told Vogue.com.au. “I’ve never really found it difficult, I love to work out and I love to be active. The days I don’t want to get off the couch and I’m tired are the days I take off, because it takes me a lot to get like that and I think it’s really important to pay attention to your body on those days.”

Bridget’s current fitness obsession is Body by Simone, a workout favourite of many stars including Abbey Lee Kershaw, Kate Hudson and Molly Sims. The 24-year-old loves how it builds up a sweat as well as giving her muscles thanks to its mixture of cardio and Pilates, and is especially a fan of the fact it’s run by women.

“I love being trained by a woman, they pay attention to how you’re feeling and tailor your workouts accordingly,” Bridget smiled. “I’ve been doing their training with them in person while I’m New York and then when I’m travelling they do have an online streaming channel which I really enjoy.”

She tries to attend classes six times a week and follows a healthy diet alongside her workouts. She has a nutritional meal shake for breakfast and tucks into as many vegetables as possible during her meals.

“I’ll make a big batch of cauliflower rice, and roast a tonne of vegetables,” she said of one of her dishes.
