Bella Hadid would like to try acting

Bella Hadid is keen to branch out into acting and performing.

The 19-year-old model made a fleeting trip to Australia to open the Misha Collection resort 2016 presentation at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Sydney on Monday (16May16).

Following the runway show, in which she wore two chic looks, the rising star and girlfriend of singer The Weeknd revealed in a candid interview that she has set her sights on Hollywood and would like to appear in a movie one day.

"I would like to act, eventually," she told "But I don't want to do half-and-half. When I'm working for something, I'm very focused, and I put in a lot of hard work and a lot of training. I want to give 100 per cent to modelling for as long as it takes, and then when I feel that it's time to move on, I'd very much like to try acting."

Bella, the sister of Victoria's Secret model Gigi Hadid, added that at the very least she would like to take some drama lessons to "see if I'm any good."

However, Bella may have to put any acting aspirations on the back burner as she admits her modelling career is going from strength to strength and she is being inundated with work offers.

Before travelling to Sydney, the cover star of the June edition of Elle magazine explains that she has been working near constantly over the past couple of weeks.

"I've been travelling a lot more. And since the cover came out, I've been really working non-stop. I was in Paris for a job when the (Elle magazine) issue came out; I was in New York; I was home (in Los Angeles) for like a second," she smiled, adding that she'd also just been at the opening night of the 69th annual Cannes Film Festival in France last Wednesday (11May16).

But the globetrotting beauty concedes that the extent of her travel has meant she hasn't really had a chance to reflect on her growing success and her career trajectory.

"But being on the cover of a magazine like Elle, I mean, it's a big deal. And I haven't had to really think about it, because I've been away non-stop," she shared.
