Bella Hadid among faces to front Topshop campaign

Topshop’s spring 2016 denim campaign features a host of fashion stars including Bella Hadid and Malaika Firth.

The British high street retailer has enlisted the likes of Bella and Malaika along with Sophia Ahrens, Steffy Argelich, Imaan Hammam, Grace Hartzel, Aneta Pajak, Marga Esquivel and Ella Richards to front its latest range. In one shot, the models are seen standing in a line as they show off Topshop’s new crop of jeans, denim shirts and jackets – and the retailer is confident it has chosen the new generation of supermodels.

“For the spring 2016 denim campaign we have looked to this stylish and cool girl group once again,” creative director Kate Phelan explained to WWD. “Perfectly demonstrating how to inject individual style and mood to your jeans.”

Bella – the younger sister of fellow model Gigi Hadid – is a firm favourite with Topshop and she was chosen to close the Topshop Unique Spring/Summer 16 show in September last year (15).

The new campaign experiments with an array of washes, cuts and shapes, and was photographed by Giampaolo Sgura in the Bermondsey Studios in London.

Kate was responsible for styling on the shoot and chose Orson high-rise jeans for Bella, while Malaika sports loose-fit boyfriend denims. Sophia poses in mid-rise skinny jeans, Grace appears in low-rise slim fit jeans, while Aneta, Imaan and Ella strike a pose in straight-leg, tapered and high-waisted jeans respectively.

Topshop’s spring 2016 denim collection is priced from £36 to £58, and prices vary depending on the fabric and wash.

The line will be available both online and in stores from 2 February (16).
