Bailey shoots Elisa Sednaoui-Dellal for Jaeger
Elisa Sednaoui-Dellal is honoured to be shot for Jaeger.
The Italian beauty stars in the British label's Fall 15 campaign, made up of a series of black and white photos. She was shot by famous photographer David Bailey and wears an array of pieces from the line, like a grey gilet, a cashmere polo neck, a camel hair coat and a long tweed waistcoat.
Elisa is now based in London, UK, and feels a special connection to the brand.
“[Jaeger is] a really quintessential British brand. To represent [Jaeger] as a new Londoner means so much to me,” she told WWD.
This isn't the first time David has shot for Jaeger; in 1962 he snapped Jean Shrimpton dressed in the label for British Vogue.
Chief executive officer of the company, Colin Henry, saw the camera expert as a "natural choice" for the job and has praised how he captures the brand accurately through his work.
“[David] made an invaluable contribution to our iconic heritage and now has to our modern narrative,” Henry explained. “The images speak volumes about the contemporary vision we are building at Jaeger."
The stylish snaps will first appear in the September issue of British Vogue and there will even be a virtual option for fans to enjoy, made possible by The Times in London.
Colin recently spoke about his joining Jaeger in 2013 and how surprised he was to discover the state of the label.
“In the good old days, Jaeger was renowned for fabulous quality and it was very premium. It was quite shocking to see how it had slumped from that level to being compared to everyone else on the high street," he told drapersonline.com.
