Ashley Graham slays in swimwear
Ashley Graham wants women to know they have a "license to slay" in their swimsuits.
The plus-size model has been making waves in the industry, and after landing the coveted Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover earlier in 2016, there’s no stopping the curvy beauty.
She’s now trying her hand at designing swimwear, launching her first range with Swimsuits for All.
“U (sic) have a #LicenseToSlay. Suit up & work it! #AshleyGrahamxswimsuitsforall @swimsuitsforall,” she wrote on Instagram, alongside a photo of her wearing a swimsuit while winking from behind sunglasses on a boat.
The range includes both one-pieces and bikinis, with prices ranging from $79 (£54) to $398 (£272). Two stand out designs are a Swarovski encrusted two-piece, and a black one piece with mesh panelling.
Prior to her landing the Sports Illustrated cover, Ashley initially made history in the publication by being the first plus-size star to appear in an advert for the Swimsuit Issue. The campaign was for Swimsuits for All, and it appeared in 2015.
Talking about her new designs, Ashley told Inside Edition: "I want her to feel like Jane Bond. She is the owner of her body. I am owner of mine. I am the badass of my own life.
"I designed lingerie, dresses. Now, why don't I design sexy swimsuits?"
Sizes are available from a U.S. 10 through to 26, and Ashley has made sure busty ladies are sorted when it comes to her swimwear.
“When I tried on the samples my boobs kept falling, so I asked them to add bras,” she told elle.com . “The suits run up to a size 24/26 and some of these women have large boobs and some girls do not. But either way you still want them high and lifted."
Next up for Ashley could be a sportswear line, as she’s previously admitted she’d love to create athletic clothes too.
