Anja Rubik shares beauty secrets
Anja Rubik abides by the "less is more" philosophy when it comes to her beauty routine.
The Polish model, who has worked for the likes of Armani, Jimmy Choo and Fendi, takes a low-key approach to beauty and prefers to keep her make-up look as natural as possible.
For those wanting to achieve a minimal yet youthful look, Anja's top advice is to keep foundation light.
"Less is more: a very heavy base isn't very modern," she told Britain's Elle magazine. "Plus, you don't always need mascara, just curl your eyelashes to open up your eyes."
The 32-year-old also looks to Japanese face masks or SkinCeuticals' Retexturing Activator when her skin needs an extra moisture boost. But if she wants to brighten her complexion a little more, the fashion star merely adds a few drops of MAC Face & Body Foundation into her favourite face cream for a little extra glow and to help even up her skin tone.
Anja also has a top tip for keeping eyebrows under control and explains that she keeps hers looking chic by combing them and then putting a little hairspray through in order to keep them in place.
And as the face of Kerastase’s Visions of Style II campaign, Anja keeps her hair in tip-top shape by using moisture boosting products from the haircare brand's line.
"I try to wash my hair as little as possible. When I do, I use Kerastase Discipline Bain Fluidealiste Smooth-In-Motion shampoo and put on a thick mask afterwards," she explained.
But at the end of the day, the former muse of Chanel and Fendi creative director Karl Lagerfeld, believes natural beauty lies in taking care of oneself.
"The most important thing is to take care of your skin: Moisturise constantly, stay hydrated and stay away from processed food," she smiled.
