Andreja Pejić's exciting new ventures

Andreja Pejić has landed a beauty campaign and a Vogue first.

The model has had a career defining 12 months; she came out publically as transgender last July, funded a documentary about her life through Kickstarter and took the runway as a transitioned woman during London Fashion Week for Giles' Autumn/Winter 15 show.

Now the 23-year-old is adding even more to her burgeoning résumé. Firstly she'll be fronting a beauty campaign for Make Up For Ever, a LVMH-owned brand. The cosmetics company confirmed the news to Fashionista, teasing details will be "revealed soon".

Next up the Bosnian born beauty has a profile and accompanying photo shoot with US Vogue, marking the first time the fashion glossy has ever featured a transgender model for the article.

Shot by celebrated photographer Patrick Demarchelier, Andreja took to her Instagram account to share some of the sultry black and white snaps.

"If at the beginning of my career in the modelling industry or half way through it or even this time last year you told me that I would end up having a 4 page feature in AMERICAN VOGUE I would have probably told you 'oh I dunno about that! That might be a bit difficult to achieve in the near future.' In fact I was told by various people many times over that the chances of me ending up on these pages were slim to none. So you can only imagine what I'm feeling right now! (sic)," she posted next to one of the photos.

She went on to thank her agents at The Society Management for being the most supportive agency in the world.

She also thanked those at Vogue.

"Thank you #AnnaWintour,#TonneGoodman, #PatrickDemarchelier and#HelenaSuric for making history and having me be part of it but even more importantly for representing a whole social minority and an often forgotten community of women in such an important publication and opening doors for the rest of the fashion industry to do so! (sic)," she gushed.
