Anais Gallagher and PETA launch egan shoe design competition

Anais Gallagher and PETA have joined forces to launch a vegan shoe design competition.

The model-and-TV presenter - who turns 16 on January 27 - and the animal rights group have teamed up with London-based vegan shoe label Bourgeois Boheme for the campaign which is offering aspiring designers the chance to be the creative force behind a new animal-free unisex sneaker and help shape the future of cruelty-free footwear.

Entrants can upload their designs to PETA.org.uk until 7 March, when Bourgeois Boheme will shortlist the top 10.

Anais - the daughter of former Oasis rocker Noel Gallagher and his ex-wife Meg Mathews - will choose the winning design and the shoes will go into production and hit the market in time for autumn/winter 2016.

Speaking of her involvement with the project, Anais said: "I love fashion and I love animals - so this competition is a win-win.

"I'm happy to join PETA in celebrating new designers who are leading the way in cruelty-free fashion and cannot wait to strut around town in the winning pair of shoes!"

For more information and to enter the contest got to the PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) website, PETA.org.uk.
