Alice + Olivia’s desert designs
Alice + Olivia hit the desert for Spring/Summer 16.
Creative director Stacey Bendet created a sandy runway complete with fake cacti for her show at New York Fashion Week yesterday.
There was a real variety of looks on offer, with one model sporting an entirely cream-coloured outfit. A lacy gypsy-style dress reached the floor, with a shaggy cream waistcoat layered on top.
A more colourful look consisted of a red crossover crop top, a high-waisted white midi skirt with stitching and nude gladiator sandals that laced up past the hem of the dress.
“Desert Goddess: she’s free strong bold... independent," Stacey told observer.com of the inspiration behind this collection.
There was also a twist on monochrome, with one model dressed in a white T-shirt with black dots, a black jacket with white flower-like print and baggy white shorts. The look was finished off with black sandals with a chunky zebra-print heel.
Celebrities were out in droves for the show, with Paris Hilton and her sister Nicky among them.
"Congratulations Stacey Bendet @AliceAndOlivia on another amazing collection One of my favorite brands to wear So proud of you & the brand you've created. #Killingit (sic)" Paris wrote.
Victoria Justice also headed to the show, looking cute in a white jumper with colourful print.
Also showing yesterday was Dennis Basso, saying his collection was inspired by "South of the Border".
New York Fashion Week continues with Naeem Khan and Anna Sui, among others, today.
