Alexander McQueen returning to LFW
Alexander McQueen is set to return to London Fashion Week for a one-off show.
The British brand will move from Paris to the English capital to showcase its Autumn/Winter 2016 collection, a spokesperson confirmed on its official Twitter page. The fashionable event is a one off and will take place on 21 February 2016 at 7pm.
Late designer Lee Alexander McQueen showed in London during the early years of his career, but moved to the French city later. It's unsure whether next year's show will pay homage to the fashion icon, but the change of location could be a sign that something special is in the making. It's also thought there is a product launch taking place in London around the same time of the presentation.
Alexander McQueen isn't the only brand set to show in London in February; Mulberry is also back and will see creative director Johnny Coca show his first line for the label. It will be the first show since 2013 for the company. Footwear whiz Charlotte Olympia has swapped Paris presentations for London too, and her show will mark her catwalk debut.
Christopher Raeburn isn't to show on the runway though, and will instead hold a presentation with Woolmark. Newcomers have been added to next year's (16) schedule, such as Marta Jakubowski, who will be presenting under Topshop's NewGen programme. Alice Archer and Steven Tai will also show.
