Adriana Lima wants to act in a Tarantino film
Adriana Lima has her sights set on Hollywood.
The Brazilian supermodel, known for her work as a Victoria's Secret Angel and as the face of Maybelline cosmetics, seriously wants to branch into acting and ideally would like to work with noted film director Quentin Tarantino.
Appearing at the Fragrance Foundation Awards in New York on Tuesday night (07Jun16), Adriana told reporters that she is quietly waiting for her big break into show business.
"I’m just waiting for someone to see me. I’m like, 'Hello, I’m here,'" she told New York Post gossip column Page Six, adding that she only wants to work with the best. "My dream role is with Quentin Tarantino, fingers crossed." But when pressed further on whether she has had talks with the Pulp Fiction moviemaker, the brunette beauty admitted: "I haven’t had a chance to tell him that directly."
The 34-year-old previously had a role in 2001's The Follow alongside Mickey Rourke and Forest Whitaker and also played herself in the American television series Ugly Betty in 2008.
However, Adriana doesn't plan on giving up her highly lucrative modelling career anytime soon. "My plan is to be here as long as gravity lets me," she smiled.
And the star oozed body confidence in a swimsuit campaign for Italian brand Calzedonia, which was launched this week (beg06Jun16). The model showcased a series of skimpy bikinis for the shoot, including one tiny white crochet two-piece and a neon pink bikini with black trim. To add to the sexy vibe, Adriana's long locks were styled into wet-look waves, while she rocked shimmering eye shadow and flawless skin.
Adriana recently gave an interview with Vogue magazine, in which she divulged some of her beauty secrets.
"Happiness is the best beauty trick," she said when asked what advice she would like to pass on to her two children, Valentina, six, and Sienna, three, whom she shares with ex-husband Marko Jaric.
She also revealed that "coconut water is her ultimate beauty secret."
