Adriana Lima: 'Get off your butt to tone it!'
Adriana Lima’s best advice for getting a great butt is to "get off it".
The Victoria’s Secret Angel has a derriere to be envious of, which she has shown off in smalls by the lingerie brand in various campaigns. And for those looking to get a toned behind like hers, Adriana, 35, has shared her top tips.
“I really believe you just have to get off your butt in order to have a nice one!” she laughed to Vogue.com. “Getting a tight backside is really about squats, burpees, and running. I also love walking as much as possible. You need a combination of moves to keep it lifted.
“We Brazilians love to work out that area of the body because we are accustomed to such tiny bikinis and always want to look our best in them.”
Fellow Victoria’s Secret beauty Caroline Trentini also divulged details on how she breaks a sweat, explaining she prefers complete workouts rather than specific exercises as she gets bored easily.
With two kids to look after the 29-year-old doesn’t have the freedom to head to the gym whenever she wants, and has turned her attention to a sport which combines functional exercises and fighting.
“We call it functional fighting, and a regular class with my personal trainer takes 45 minutes to one hour to complete,” she said. “It mixes boxing, jumping jacks, skipping, and Muay Thai - the kicks especially help tone my butt. That’s my secret!”
While their colleague Izabel Goulart, who is also Brazilian, keeps in shape by exercising for at least an hour every day. But the brunette beauty, who recently flaunted her figure when she appeared at the 2016 Rio Olympics Closing Ceremony, doesn’t work with a trainer as she finds it tricky to stick to a routine with her busy schedule.
