Abbey Lee Kershaw: Natasha Poly is queen bee

Abbey Lee Kershaw looks up to Natasha Poly as “the queen of everything”.

The Australian model is something of an idol herself, stepping into the footsteps of Lara Stone to front the ads for DKNY’s Be Delicious fragrance.

When the 28-year-old was starting out in the industry, she looked to Natasha for modelling inspiration.

“There were a lot of girls from my era that I always looked up to when I started, like Natasha Poly. She was the queen of everything,” Abbey gushed to

“She is flawless with an incredible work ethic. Modelling is a whole new ball game now with the social era. Girls now are creating an image before they are working as models. They can gain work because they have a high volume of followers.”

Just as Abbey acknowledges the industry is changing, she admits the work is tough. In order to survive, she urges young models to find something outside of their jobs that they love, so they can maintain their individuality.

In light of her sexy new Be Delicious campaign, which sees her in a super low-cut top, Abbey also gave advice on feeling desirable.

“Be comfortable in your own skin and dress in something that makes you feel confident, like yourself,” was her top tip.

“And that can change from day to day. One day I may want to wear a miniskirt, and then the next I’ll wear jeans and a T-shirt. Pay attention to how you personally feel sexy.”
