Abbey Lee Kershaw gets sexy for Agent Provocateur
Abbey Lee Kershaw fronts Agent Provocateur's new "intensely sexy" campaign.
The Australian model is helping the lingerie brand celebrate 20 years of designing underwear for women by starring in its Fall 16 advertisements. Photographer Mario Sorrenti shot the campaign, which see Abbey pose in an array of smalls, like a stretch lace Audrey set and a Deziree corset and gown made from rubberised French Chantilly.
Sarah Shotton, Agent Provocateur's creative director, was thrilled with the finished sultry black and white pictures, and credits Mario for his skills on set.
“I was completely starstruck to work with Mario. I’ve never seen anyone work in the way that he did,” Sarah told WWD. “He loves the brand and that really came through; he wanted to strip everything back - nothing but Abbey, the underwear and that electric magnetism between them. It was an intensely sexy shoot.”
George Cortina was in charge of styling the campaign to appeal to the label's target audience - “her needs, her lifestyle, her work, rest and playtime: the sexuality of the modern woman.”
Sarah knew Abbey was the woman for the job, as the 29-year-old reflects the type of female Agent Provocateur aims to attract.
“What really struck me about Abbey is that despite her beauty and her accomplishments, she is not intimidating,” she added. “She’s cool, and fun, and inherently sexy but still the kind of woman you want to go for a drink with. A woman’s woman.”
The racy ads will run in September issues of U.S. and British Vogue, W and Love magazine, which will hit shelves in August (16).
This job is just the latest in a long line of accomplishments for Abbey; at the end of June (16) she was photographed for Sass & Bide's Amante Amore collection, wearing pieces like a black and white sequined striped trouser suit and a strapless crimson dress. She's also making a name for herself in movies, with a starring role in new movie The Neon Demon opposite Elle Fanning.
