Tried & Tested: Scented products

Wouldn't it be nice to smell good as well as look gorgeous next time you step out for a night on the town? We've rounded up some beauty products which promise to give great results with a scented finish to see if they're really worth investing in.

BAIB Cosmetics HD Liquid Foundation in LF02 - 3/5

You probably don't think much about the smell of your foundation, but a scented product can add an extra edge to your make-up routine. This HD foundation smells of roses - a lot of roses! It could well be a bit strong for some but if you're a fan of rose perfume, it will go down a treat. It does wear off to a more subtle scent and the coverage is light and dewy.

The Body Shop Almond Hand & Nail Cream - 4/5

A good hand cream can become a handbag stable, especially when it smells so good while nourishing your skin. This product ticks all the boxes - moisturising, easy to blend and a mouth-watering scent. The only criticism I have is the packaging, as while in my bag the foil split and the cream ended up leaking. There are worse things for my backpack to smell like, but it's just a shame to waste such a great product on pens and paper!

Fresh Sugar Lemon Body Lotion - 5/5

I am a sucker for a citrus scent and when I gave this a sniff in store I knew it was meant to be. Be prepared - this packs a real lemon punch. I love it because the scent doesn't seem synthetic, it's just a lovely mix of fresh lemons and brown sugar. As well as being a lovely smell the lotion is fantastic too. I have dry skin and although it's light it moisturises very well, plus it soaks in quickly so you don't have to hang around and wait for it to sink in. All round this is an A+ product.
