Tried and tested: shampoo

People have been shampooing their hair since ancient times, and while new and creative ways to wash hair have snuck their way into our beauty regimes, nothing quite beats an old-fashioned sudsy shampoo session. We see what ‘poos you should be purchasing to keep your locks gleaming.

Mane ‘n Tail Original Shampoo – 5/5

We recently road tested the Mane ‘n Tail conditioner as well, and while both products work well alone, used together they make hair magic. Loved by the A-list, the formula, which was originally intended for use on horses, gets to work making hair stronger, longer and healthier. It really does do what it says on the tin, and my hair is in noticeably better condition. Since using this shampoo, my hair has grown and also appears much fuller. It’s not harsh, and doesn’t strip hair of any natural oils or goodness - a must for anyone after luscious locks.

TRESemme 24 Hour Body Shampoo - 5/5

Not only does this shampoo come in a giant bottle that lasts for ages, but it massages in smoothly, leave your hair smelling great and feeling super soft. It actually does add body too, though only when you style your hair the correct way after washing. However it definitely makes an impact compared to non-volumising products and used with the conditioner creates an oomph that can last all day. A reliable and affordable shampoo all around!

Product: OGX Nourishing Coconut Milk Shampoo

Rating: 4/5

This shampoo features a blend of coconut milk, egg white proteins and coconut oils, which cleanse the hair nicely and wash away impurities. But the best part is the scent; the natural coconut smells divine and lasts throughout the day. It’s like a tropical vacation for your hair!
