Tried and tested: Pretty in Pink
Flattering on all complexions, pretty pink hues definitely have the power to cheer you up this winter. Here are some of our top picks.
Ciate London Gelology in The Naked Truth – 4/5
This natural hue is the perfect balance between pink and beige, making it suitable for all skin tones. The polish boasts a 250 bristle brush for smooth and even application, resulting in a glossy high shine. Just make sure to use a top coat for extra long-lasting wear.
Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm Stain – 4/5
I love Revlon’s lip crayons when I don’t want to wear actual lipstick, and this shade is one of my favourites. It gives a nice bold colour, but without being too in your face like lipstick can sometimes be. Perfect for work, coffee with friends and any other occasion that doesn’t require an overly painted pout. My only criticism is it can slightly bleed over my lip line, but adding some lip liner solves this problem.
Makeup Obsession Blush B112 Bloom - 4/5
I'm still relatively new to blusher and often find myself applying it sparingly. With this rosy pink shade I only need to sweep on a little to make an impact, though it does require some blending and softening after application to avoid harsh lines. The matte finish creates a natural look, while the pink colour gives a girly glow to my cheeks. Great quality for a bargain product!
