Tried and tested: Nicki Minaj beauty

Nicki Minaj has never been afraid to rock bold make-up on the red carpet, but nor does she shy away from more demure looks. The beauty chameleon is one of the most recognisable faces in music, so we’ve attempted to recreate some of her top looks with current cosmetics.

OPI nail polish in I’m Gown for Anything! - 4/5

Nicki Minaj loves to experiment with bright colour in her make-up but she mostly sticks with pretty pink shades for her manicure. And the Pink Friday singer would no doubt be a fan of OPI's nail lacquer in shade I’m Gown for Anything! The formula produces a rich colour, intense shine and lasting wear. To make your nail polish last the week without the need for touch-ups, do two moderate coats, being careful not to overload your brush for the perfect amount of coverage. This light lilac hue with a touch of blue isn't only perfect for popstars, the pretty shade is also office and party appropriate too.

Bourjois Liner Clubbing Ultra Black – 4/5

Nicki went all Amy Winehouse on us at this year’s Met Gala, opting for lashings of black eyeliner as she posed with Moschino’s main man Jeremy Scott. Bourjois Liner Clubbing Ultra Black is a safe choice for winged eye looks, and glides on easily leaving a bold, black colour. Whether you’re after a feminine flick, or full on Winehouse eyes, this liner will get you there. It stays put most of the day, but needs topping up every few hours if you’re prone to touching your face.

Lancome Rouge in Love in 146B Miss Coquelicot - 4/5

I have fair skin, so any brightly coloured make-up will pop against it. This coral, orangey lipstick does just that, but in a gorgeous way which I can get away with wearing for anything from a lunch with friends to a stroll in the park. I had to blot my mouth a few times as I noticed the colour on my teeth at first - not a good look - but it's an extremely nourishing and long-lasting product. Now spring is here, I'm going to rock this bold lippy with Nicki Minaj-style confidence.
