Tried and tested: Kylie Jenner lips

Kylie Jenner has single-handedly put brown lipstick back on the map, so we’ve tried to find the best ones out there to give your pout a new level of wow.

Fusion Beauty Lip Fusion in Pillow Talk - 3.5/ 5

It's not just former One Direction star Zayn Malik that likes a bit of Pillow Talk - Fusion Beauty do too. This isn't as brown as it looks on the packet, but it goes on smoothly and is long lasting. Because it's quite a light shade, it won't suit light skinned ladies, but will look great on tanned and olive skin tones.

Trish McEvoy Essential Pencil in Barely There - 3/5

This is a big pencil so it isn't exactly the right tool to get a neat outline, and it doesn't really show up unless you press down on your lips. While it does have a nice, neutral finish, the thickness of the tip isn't ideal - if it was smoother to apply, it would make a great crayon, but as it is slightly rough with its pencil texture, the right way to use it is unclear.

Ciate London Liquid Velvet Lipstick in Kiss Me Quick - 4/5

Wanting an Instagram-worthy pout? Look no further than Ciate London's Liquid Velvet Lipstick. This matte liquid lipstick is highly pigmented to create lush, velvety colour, and easily rivals Kylie Jenner's popular Lip Kits. The innovative precision tip applicator aids for effortless application, while the whipped-feeling formula glides onto the lips and stays put for a minimum of three hours. One coat is all that is needed, but be warned that this liquid lipstick dries with a super matte finish and it's best to apply a smooth layer of lipbalm underneath to prevent lips from drying out too quickly.
