Tried and tested: Blusher

A fresh faced, flushed cheek look is always in style, but having perfectly rosy cheeks only really comes naturally if you spend time freezing your bits off in icy winter weather. Luckily for us blusher has been a make-up staple pretty much forever – the Ancient Egyptians popularised it! We round up what the beauty world has to offer our cheeks right now.

Bourjois Little Round Pot Blusher in Rose De Jaspe – 4/5

This petite round pot gives a great pop of colour with a subtle scent – win win! Only a little bit needs to be applied to make an impact, meaning this product lasts for ages, and a quick sweep on the cheeks adds the perfect amount of definition. There’s a slightly shimmery finish but not too much to look out of place during the day, so I can wear it at work or on a night out.

Clinique Blushing Blush Powder Blush in Precious Posy - 5/5

This blush is fast becoming a beauty bag staple for me! The silky oil-free formula sweeps effortlessly over cheekbones for a natural look, while the pink-peach shade delivers a pretty flush. The touch of gold shimmer also makes it suitable for all skin tones. In addition, the blusher is packaged in a sturdy rectangular case, which features a good-sized mirror and an angled brush for accurate application.

Lottie London’s Blush Crush in Justin – 3.5/5

I love pink blusher and this shade really gives me the doll like shade I go for. I love the packaging size, as it easily fits into my handbag, plus the added mirror is ideal for on the go blushing. The colour didn’t stay on as long as I’d have liked, but the purse-friendly packet means powdering while out and about is easy enough.
