Tried and Tested: At home spa

It's not just about getting pampered, but also investing some time into yourself. Getting away every weekend is unrealistic in terms of both money and time. So splash out on some at home treats to boost your mood and beauty regime, whenever the mood takes.

MyChelle Pure Harmony Mask - 3.5/5

Initially this gel mask from MyChelle caused a bit of a break out, but once that subsided my skin was left hydrated and looking fresh. It's recommended for sensitive skin, but it did slightly tingle upon application. Also it can sting eyes if it gets too close. I put the tube in the fridge for extra soothing, and loved how that felt on the skin. Overall I was pleased with the results.

Sanctuary Spa Air Whipped Soufflé range – 4/5

There are three parts to this line, a shower soufflé, soufflé scrub and crème soufflé. That translates to a shower gel, scrub and body cream which all share the same creamy, whipped texture. Initially I thought it would be a bit of a gimmick, but it’s actually luxurious and really feels like you’re giving your body a treat. The scrub is light and airy and doesn’t leave beads all over your bath and the body cream was great for my dry legs. All in all a hit, especially as it’s much cheaper than a trip to the spa!

Murad Youth Builder collection – 5/5

There are all kinds of wraps, massages and treatments you can drop money on at a spa if you’re after firmer-looking skin. But if you want to give it a go in the comfort of your own home, look no further than Murad’s new products. The cleanser stimulates circulation and warms skin, while the firming peptide cream leaves the skin moisturised and youthful looking. I could really feel these products getting to work and loved the glow and firmness my skin had afterwards. A winner in my books!
