T&T: Celebrity fragrances

One Direction are at it, Little Mix have one and Paris Hilton and Katy Perry have done it countless times. What are we talking about? Celebrity fragrances of course! By indulging in the sweet scent of showbiz, fans can get a taste of their stars' favourite smells and maybe even imagine themselves as a bit of a VIP... We've tried and tested some of the latest scents from your favourite celebs.

Christina Aguilera Woman - 3/5

Xtina is a bit of a fragrance veteran and as a teenie I loved her perfumes (trivia: her original perfume was the first gift I ever got from a boyfriend!) Her latest offering is Woman, a sweet pink scent in a white box embossed with gold flowers. She's stayed true to the hourglass bottle and the smell hasn't deviated much from her others. While the scent is a little too sickly for me these days, I can see teenage girls everywhere clamouring to own this!

Little Mix Gold Magic - 2/5

If you're not big on watermelon you won't like this perfume, as it's the overwhelming note. Also featuring are violet, raspberry, lemon meringue and musk, with girl band members Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall each picking scents they wanted to include. The result isn't terrible, but it's very sweet and girly. That isn't really my bag, but this will probably be a hit with Little Mix fans. It also sticks around for ages, which is great if you like the smell, as you don't need to respritz.

Lady Gaga Eu De Gaga - 3.5/5

It's a unisex scent, so at first I did feel it was a little too masculine for my liking. But after wearing it for a week or so the fragrance became more appealing, and once settled on the skin, it does have a more feminine finish. However, it doesn't last for long and the smell fades after only a few hours, which is disappointing as the perfume has the potential to be a real lasting scent.

One Direction Between Us - 2.5/5

This is a perfume aimed at a teenage market, and young girls are going to lap it up. The smell is really strong, and as a 28-year-old, I found it overpowering. The scent itself is fruity; notes of mandarin and apricot mixed with floral and hints of vanilla. Given that it's meant to invoke a blend of candied sugar, it hits the nail on the head with its sweetness. Judging the perfume itself: aside from the super sweet-scent it performed well, lasting all day and well into the evening. One Direction know their target market and have positioned their fragrance as a fan favourite. If you're not a Directioner though, this is not for you.
