Look to try: Sarah Paulson’s chic waves

Sarah Paulson always steps out on the red carpet in elegant yet fashion-forward ensembles.

But at the recent 2017 Tony Awards, it wasn’t the actress’ strapless white Rodarte dress that had fashionistas talking, but her very glamorous hairstyle.

Kieran Tudor, expert hairstylist at Remington, explains to Cover Media that it’s possible to pull off Sarah’s sassy side-swept curls by following a few simple steps.

Firstly, he recommends running through some of Oribe’s Imperial Blowout Transformative Styling Creme through freshly washed hair, to tame and control frizz without weighing it down.

Then dry the tresses, using the hands to encourage movement and to smooth the surface of the strands.

“Place your hair in a low side parting and begin taking sections of hair and wrapping around a curling wand,” said Kieran. “Remington’s Pro Luxe Waving Wand is ideal for this thanks to its unique OPTIheat technology - it will set your style in place for long lasting results and is the perfect barrel size for creating loose waves.”

When it comes to creating pretty curls, the hairstylist suggests not winding each section of hair tightly around the barrel, and instead “drape” the locks around. Plus, it’s a good idea to leave about an inch of hair at the end away from the curler, as this will give it a more relaxed wave. And always remember to wind the front sections away from your face.

“Once all your hair is all curled, use a little bit of product in the lengths and ends for a luxurious finish. Finally, tuck the hair at the side of your parting behind your ear to complete the look,” added Kieran.

Take a leaf out of Sarah’s book, and accessorise the chic hairstyle with some on-trend bejewelled drop earrings.
