MAC is the master of fashionable collaborations, and its partnerships have become legendary. From Prabal Gurung to Proenza Schouler, MAC has been through some of style's top names. Add the likes of Giambattista Valli and Carine Roitfeld for good measure too.

NARS also like to get in on the act, featuring Christopher Kane for a range and creating a limited edition 3.1 Phillip Lim nail varnish collection.

Now a brand across the pond has decided to add fashion to its roster; Fudge Hair has tapped Brit designer Katie Eary for a limited-edition kit bag.

"I wanted to do something with them for ages, product-wise, I'm in there all the time getting my hair done flamingo-coloured. So I was just like, 'Can we do a colour range? Can we do something?!' And then they were like, 'We have the perfect idea; we're doing a new kit bag. We just want something fun, but it's got to be completely functional so it has to be wipeable, this that and the other. So let's do this really fun little monster bag.' And it's perfect. You can tell that I've done it," Katie beamed to Cover Media.

The red kit bag features a contrasting orange zip and two googly eyes, complete with eyelashes. Inside there is a tongue poking out. Katie is known for her quirky designs, which translate seamlessly to the accessory.

The two have had a long-standing partnership, with Fudge creating Katie's catwalk looks for the past few years.

"It's a real collaborative effort. So it's me, the stylist and then the hairstylist all work together to work something out. I do all the clothes, and then I talk about what the theme is and we collate images of what we like. And then John [Vial, Fudge creative director,] will come along and be like, 'Let's try this, let's try that'. And it's so nice because by that time I'm usually absolutely exhausted, I couldn't possibly think of anything else," she laughed.
