How to do waves like Amy Adams
Amy Adams wowed us with her waves at the recent premiere of her flick Arrival in London, giving us major hair envy with her tumbling auburn curls.
For anyone wanting to copy Amy’s waves, a look she frequently sports on the red carpet, we have expert tips from Charles Worthington brand ambassador Ken O’Rourke, the man behind the Oscar-nominee’s fabulous flame haired look.
“Amy is blessed with thick healthy auburn locks, so I decided to give her ‘70s waves cascading down one shoulder to show off her Grecian goddess white dress,” Ken told Cover Media.
While a white Valentino may not be in your budget, achieving Amy’s hair look is totally doable.
Here’s how-to get the look:
Step 1: On wet hair, layer in Charles Worthington Volume & Bounce Body Booster to create texture with volume and Express Blow Dry Primer to speed up blow dry time whilst forming the core foundation for the curls. Redken Pillow Proof Blowdry Express Treatment Primer Cream is another star buy for speeding up blowdry time.
Step 2: Blow dry hair with a 3 inch bristle brush and once dry, take a 1.5 inch curling iron and split the hair into eight even sections.
Step 3: Once curled, leave to cool for 30 minutes and then brush out using a bristle brush to soften curls and reduce any flyaways. Spritz with Charles Worthington Diamond Shine Hairspray to give a little hold with lashings of shine. L'Oréal’s Elnett, ghd Final Fix Hairspray and Moroccanoil Luminous hairspray are all great alternatives.
