Get the look: Lily-Rose Depp at Sundance Film Festival

The words blue and eyeshadow are likely to conjure up images of bad transvestite make-up or dodgy '80s looks. In short, not the trend you're trying to channel in 2016. However Lily-Rose Depp has swiftly changed our opinion. The 16-year-old daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis is fast becoming one the coolest names in fashion and her effortless style is now a regular fixture on the red carpet.

She recently stepped out at the Sundance Film Festival, promoting new flick Yoga Hosers which co-stars her dad Johnny. Instead of going for all out glam, Lily kept it cool with black trousers, white t-shirt, black jacket and a red silk scarf. Her short blonde hair was tousled into loose waves and her skin glowed. And the good news is, replicating the look is pretty simple.

To get Lily's youthful glow, cheat by adding Illamasqua's Radiance Veil to your foundation. Mix two parts foundation with one part Radiance Veil to get a consistent illuminated look. Alternatively you can use the cream by itself, dotted along the parts of your face that naturally catch the light (cheekbones, cupid's bow, eyebrow bone, bridge of nose).

Add a peachy blush on to cheeks for a slightly flushed, but totally natural glow. We like Lily Lolo's Pressed Blush in Just Peachy, for both the brand name and spot on colour.

Lily proves that blue can be cool, you just need to find the perfect shade. MAC's director of artistry Terry Barber has already called out the aquatic trend for Spring/Summer 16, and Lily shows she's ahead of the game with her blue eyes. Try MAC's eye shadow in Tilt, to get the same shimmer as Lily has. Build up the colour slowly, so you don't end up with a hue that's too vivid. The idea is to keep it slightly translucent and watery looking.

Like her blush, Lily has kept to a peach shade on her lips. The understated colour gives the young model/actress a much more mature vibe, without completely ageing her. We like Charlotte Tilbury's K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick in Penelope Pink for a splurge, or Revlon's Super Lustrous Matte Lipstick in Smoked Peach for something a little more purse friendly.
