Beach to club hair sorted

Whether you live by the beach or are just holidaying somewhere hot, long-haired ladies will know the struggle is real when it comes to taming your locks in the day and creating a fresh style at night.

Award-winning hairdresser Andrew Barton, who has previously styled the likes of Kylie Minogue and Kate Moss, has revealed the simple and fast hair hack that will take you from the beach to club with minimal effort or fuss.

“What summer haircare’s really about is getting rid of it while you’re at the beach, so under a hat or braids, and then releasing it at night,” Andrew told Cover Media.

“The great thing about braiding it in the day, you will get those perfect, beachy waves when you take it out. And if you use something like my Miracle Hair Oil from S.O.S., that’s going to give it protection during the day from chlorine and salt water. And it’s also going to moisturise the hair, so you get a bit of gloss in the hair as well, so it’s not a dry, frizzy mess when you take out the braids.”

Protective Milky Oil are also holiday staples and will keep hair looking its best in sunnier climates.

As for Andrew’s personal favourite ingredients, he explains that in his range for U.K. retailer Asda he wouldn’t be without argan oil.

“We use Moroccan argan oil for moisturisation, and then a really nice bridge and marriage with protein because we’ve got protect shine complex, which is vitamin E derived, which strengthens the hair and gives it shine,” he shared.
