A crazy Formula One fan risked his life in Friday's practise session for this weekend's Chinese Grand Prix by running across the track in an apparent attempt to 'have a go' in a Ferrari car.

The local man ran between the high speed F1 cars and scaled the 10-foot high fencing that runs along the main straight opposite the pits.

He then entered the the Ferrari garage and demanded a a ride in one of their famous red cars. It was there he was finally grabbed by security staff and handed on to police for arrest.

Motor sport's governing body, the FIA, are now reviewing track security ahead of Sunday's big race, with the incident below evidence that some fans will do anything to be part of the F1 story.
