Video - Tiger Woods is back after all (sort of)
Tiger Woods may have postponed his latest comeback attempt, but he gave a hint that he is closing in on a return as he gave a public golf clinic in California.
Entertaining what appeared to be a relatively modest crowd, the 14-time major winner showed some of his old elegance as he showed his recurring back problem was not stopping him from unleashing his legendary swing.
The Monterey Peninsula Country Club was the venue for Woods to flex his golfing muscles, with these videos posted by Twitter user @stevelutton confirming the former world No.1 may yet play again this year despite his late withdrawal from his proposed return at the Safeway Open this Thursday.
Woods suggested in a statement that he did not feel ready to return to competitive golf as his game was ‘vulnerable’, sparking rumours that he was again suffering from fitness issues as he tried to push himself towards a comeback.
Woods has been out for more than a year with his back problem and he has stated that he intends to play again in December, with these videos fuelling hope for his fans that his career is not at an end just yet:
