Defending world champion Gary Anderson has become the first player to hit a nine-dart finish in this year's PDC World Darts championships.

Anderson hit his perfect leg at the start of his semi-final against Jelle Klaasen, with the Scot showing his brilliance once again on the biggest stage.

Adrian Lewis is already assured of a place in the final after he beat Raymond van Barneveld 6-3 in the first semi-final, but it is Anderson who can lay claim to the first nine-dart leg of 2016 in world darts.
