Video: Vegas based Dublin band pen song for Conor McGregor
Dubliners Dave Browne and Dave Rooney have penned a song a rock song called ‘The Notorious’ that they hope UFC Featherweight Conor McGregor will walk out to when he finally gets in the octagon against Brazilian Jose Aldo on Dec 12 in the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
The musicians, known as The Black Donnellys, are the resident band in Irish pub RíRá in The Mandalay Bay, and just finished the catchy song and music video.
Speaking to sundayworld.com Dave Rooney said: “We know that Conor’s team have heard the song and we got great feedback from them so we are hoping that they tell us next week that he is going to use it for the walk-out. We know it is a long shot. But we live in hope.
“We have informed our bosses that we may not be able to play at RíRá on that night,” he laughs.
“It would be the icing on the cake for myself and Dave after a few amazing years here in Las Vegas. Fingers crossed.”
Even if Notorious uses a different tune for his walk on, we have a feeling any Irish fans in Vegas for the big fight will be hearing this somewhere during their trip.
