Head-to-head: Aldo and McGregor

At the 'Go Big' press event last in Las Vegas, Conor McGregor and Jose Aldo had to be held apart by Dana White as their meeting almost came to blows.

We have to wait until December 12 to see Conor McGregor and Jose Aldo meet in the octagon but the build up to that fight took a serious step up last night.

The UFC collected a host of huge names for the event but, as usual, the main man was Notorious.

Front and centre, and right beside Dana White, McGregor was the target of all sorts of comments from other fighters, and he gave as good as he got too, verbally sparring with lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos and Donald Cerrone.

However, it was his staredown with UFC 194 opponent Jose Aldo that was the highlight.

The Dubliner said he fully expected the Brazilian to dodge him again, after the long-time champion missed the scheduled but between the two men at UFC 189 in July.

They then went very close to getting physical, being kept apart by White, before Aldo walked off stage.

Roll on December.
