Conor McGregor wants to buy a chimpanzee when he beats Aldo
Conor McGregor knows exactly what he is going to do if he beats Featherweight champ José Aldo – he is going to buy himself a chimpanzee.
The interim belt holder was in flying form last night on US talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live when he admitted: “Mike Tyson was actually at my last fight at UFC 189... If he is there (at my next fight), because I have honestly, truly been giving serious thought on getting myself an exotic animal. I need to sit down and speak to him about pros and cons (of having a tiger).”
Kimmel encouraged him to get a chimpanzee, dress him up in a robe and have him walkout with him to the Octagon and McGregor vowed that he would return to the show with a primate.
“I'd love a monkey. Maybe a chimpanzee. Just a cool chimpanzee whipping around would be unbelievable as well,” he laughed. “I’ll tell you what, I'll come back (to your show) with my brand new chimpanzee.”
McGregor has tattoos of a gorilla and a tiger on his torso.
The Dubliner, who admitted to owning EIGHT cars, is fulfilling his final media obligations ahead of UFC 194 where he will finally step into the octagon against Brazilian José Aldo.
The event is being billed as the biggest UFC night of the year, and will attract nearly 10,000 Irish fans to Las Vegas for the December 12 showdown.
The former plumber has been in training for the last few months and is now putting the final preparations to his weight cut ahead of next Friday’s weigh in.
