Another sports star follows Paul Pogba's lead in imitating Conor McGregor's 'billy strut'

NBA star Marc Gasol broke out Conor McGregor's now infamous strut during a basketball match yesterday.

The Spanish pro basketball player was in action for the Memphis Grizzlies in an away game against the LA Clippers.

A last-second late three-pointer from Gasol was key in the Grizzlies leaving the City of Angels with the victory, as they ran out 111-107 winners.

After draining the basket, the Spaniard took inspiration from the Irish UFC star (and probably WWE's Vince McMahon too):

Naturally, Twitter erupted after the celebration, with Gasol himself getting in on the action:

Having been to see the Dubliner knock out Eddie Alvarez for the UFC lightweight belt on Saturday night, wrestling legend Triple H (who believes McGregor could one day appear in the WWE) also tweeted his appreciation for the strut:

Speaking to Ariel Helwani on the MMA Hour this week, McGregor's coach John Kavanagh explained how the UFC star was asked by American footbal star Odell Beckham Jnr to teach him the "billy strut" after his win in New York city.

A shortened version of "billionaire strut", McGregor's pre-fight walk has achieved legendary status after being imitated by some of the world's best sportsmen.

Manchester United and France superstar Paul Pogba showed his appreciation for the Notorious while training with his national team:

The notorious walk 😂😎👊🏾 bonne semaine à tous @equipedefrance #fiersdetrebleus @thenotoriousmma

It seems the Dublin fighter's popularity knows absolutely no bounds.

Now the Crumlin man just needs to ensure he doesn't crop a fan out of a photo again.
