A date and venue has been set for the rescheduled McGregor - Aldo bout
The date for the rescheduled Conor McGregor and Jose Aldo bout has been set - and there's a familiar location for the hotly anticipated fight.
Dana White has announced the pair will (hopefully) go head-to-head on 12 December in Las Vegas.
UFC 194 will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, the UFC president announced in an interview with Yahoo.
According to White, the MGM "moved heaven and earth" in order to land the McGregor fight following the spectacle that was UFC 189.
But rumours that Ronda Rousey would appear on the same card have been put to bed by White.
"That fight isn't going to be on the [Aldo-McGregor] card, for sure," White told Yahoo.
"If we were going to go to Dallas Cowboys Stadium, that's another story, but the MGM really wanted the fight and they made a huge effort for it and they got it. And it works out better for us to be in Las Vegas."
The UFC president and McGregor were left reeling after Jose Aldo pulled out of UFC 189 just two weeks from the night. The Brazilian reportedly suffered a rib injury in training and was forced to pull out.
McGregor was subsequently paired with Chad Mendes who he beat in the second round to claim the interim belt.
It gave the Irishman 14 straight wins and put him at 6-0 in the UFC.
