As expected Mickey Harte's Tyrone launched their back-door All-Ireland journey with a comfortable win over Limerick in Omagh.

The final score was Tyrone 1-14; Limerick 0-7.

The visitors lacked nothing in effort and a battling first half performance saw them trail by just two points at the break (0-6; 0-4) despite having two players black carded.

The home side upped the ante in the second half and had already secured their place in the next round by the time Peter Harte palmed the ball to the Limerick net three minutes into stoppage time.

Tyrone again look the team that everybody will want to avoid in the next round of the qualifiers.
