Easily the best tweet of the night, and Dundalk haven't even kicked off in Tallaght yet.

Dundalk are gearing for an absolutely huge Europa League game at Tallaght Stadium this evening.

They are currently two points ahead of tonight's opponents AZ Alkmaar, with four points on the board after an opening-day draw with AZ before beating Maccabi Tel Aviv in Tallaght at the end of September.

Crucially, Stephen Kenny's side are also currently level on points with third-placed Maccabi after the Israeli side lost 2-0 away to Zenit St Petersburg earlier today.

The League of Ireland outfit will go into tonight's game buoyed by the fact that even a draw will cement their second-place standing ahead of a trip to Tel Aviv in two weeks' time.

A Dundalk fan chose to tweet her appreciation for Zenit's victory ahead of the highly-anticipated fixture in Dublin:

The response from the club's English-language Twitter account was just perfect:

Incredibly well played. Zenit might find they pick up a few Irish fans anytime they play in Europe from now on.

These are the teams that will take each other on tonight at 8.05pm:
