You won't believe the t-shirt on sale in Man Utd shop
Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal may not be too amused by a t-shirt that is currently being sold as part of the club's official merchandise range - as it is emblazoned with the logo 'Duty To Entertain'.
Van Gaal has been under fire for most of his reign as United boss for promoting negative football, with fans increasingly bemused that the Dutchman is still in place as the club's manager.
The Old Trafford giants signed a world record breaking £750m deal with Adidas to become the club's official merchandise partners last year, yet a spokesman for the German company suggested they were not impressed with the style of football being played by Van Gaal's side.
"Business with Man United is going very well, we sell more shirts than expected,” said Adidas boss Herbert Hainer last month.
“We are satisfied, even if the current playing style of Man United is not exactly what we want to see."
Now it has emerged that United are happy to sell the t-shirt encouraging the club's players to entertain their fans, in what may be seen as a snipe at the tactics being deployed by Van Gaal.
The under-fire United boss gets another chance to silence his critics when his team take on Midtjylland in the Europa League on Thursday.
