Wenger to make late call on Alexis Sanchez fitness as Bellerin ruled out for lengthy period
The Arsenal boss was coy on whether or not Alexis Sanchez will feature against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
Arsene Wenger will decide tomorrow whether or not the Chile star will make his matchday 18 for the crunch clash against United at 12.30pm on Saturday.
Just 24 hours before Wenger meets old rival Jose Mourinho, the Frenchman will make a call on Sanchez's suitability to feature for the Gunners after a hamstring injury put him in doubt for both country and club.
Chile boss Juan Antonio Pizzi went against Wenger's wishes as Sanchez was risked for 84 minutes against Uruguay on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, scoring twice in a starring role as La Roja ran out 3-1 winners.
The Arsenal manager had pleaded with Chile not to pick one of his star men while not fully fit, believing it would be a "suicidal decision" to name Sanchez in the starting XI.
Now, Wenger has revealed that Sanchez has informed Arsenal he is raring to go for Saturday: "He text us back that he's in good shape after the game."
However, the Gunners boss will not make any decision before Sanchez is assessed by the Arsenal medical team.
Wenger sounded uncertain as he addressed the concerns over whether or not the Chilean will feature in Manchester:
"We have to wait, see him tomorrow morning and see if he can be involved in the squad or not."

As was reported yesterday, Santi Cazorla will also miss out on Arsenal action for an extended period of time:
